Job Summary:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of facilities maintenance duties to maintain the equipment; disassemble, move, and reassemble office and production equipment; maintain organization and cleanliness of the physical facility; and other duties as assigned.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

  • Lubricate, clean, and perform basic evaluations of the production equipment.
  • Disassemble, move, and reassemble office and production equipment.
  • Maintain supplies in restrooms, conference rooms, and other assigned areas.
  • Wash and dust windows, walls, and blinds.
  • Operate a variety of electrical cleaning equipment; maintain and order custodial equipment and supplies.
  • Perform various tasks in moving or rearranging furniture, desks, cubicles and other equipment; set up rooms for meetings.
  • May assist in training less experienced staff.
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

Additional Job Duties and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of proper lubrication techniques and general mechanical acumen.
  • Knowledge of methods of cleaning and preserving floors, walls, and fixtures.
  • Use of cleaning materials and disinfectants, equipment and tools used in custodial work.
  • Be aware of occupational hazards and remain compliant with standard safety practices.
  • Proficiency in the use of power equipment, hand tools, vacuums, floor polishers, and ladders or stepstools.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident: In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand: use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch: and talk and hear.
  • The job may involve prolonged periods of sitting/standing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain)
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
  • The employee is frequently required to use the computer.
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance from man or machine.

Work Environment:

  • May involve the use of oils, greases, and solvents.
  • Subject to some soilage and irritation from materials used/encountered. (Lab Coats provided)
  • Generally works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such.
  • Safety Glasses are required
  • May require area specific safety training
  • This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.
  • May be exposed to dust, grease, odors and cleaning agents.
